1st December world AIDS day was being celebrated all over the world. PNAC Played its part by putting a camp on HIV & AIDS opposite PIMS (Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences) from 8:00 A. M to 6:00 P.M. Many People visited the stall and got information about the spread of HIV & AIDS, and how to protect them from HIV & AIDS. At 2:00 P.M, PNAC staff visited the PIMS hospital HIV ward and brought fruits and bouquet for the patients. The patients were very happy to see the PNAC staff. the Media took coverage at the stall and asked about the people’s response.

World AIDS Day provides an important opportunity to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS in general public, to carry prevention messages into communities, to improve care for those infected by HIV and to fight denial and discrimination. It helps people think more clearly about HIV and AIDS.

For past many years PNAC and its partner consortia are observing the World AIDS Day to highlight relevant messages. This year on World AIDS Day the governing body of PNAC met the Federal Minister of Health Mr. Mohammad Nasser Khan at his office and updated him with PNAC endeavors in the field of HIV/AIDS. The meeting was organized to seek the Ministers valuable guidance, patronage and support in combating the menace of HIV and AIDS in Pakistan.
 

President PNAC Raja Khalid Mehmood presented a Red Ribbon to Minister to commemorate the World AIDS Day and to reiterate the commitment of the Government and Civil Society Organization for taking concrete steps for controlling the HIV/AIDS in Pakistan
