Capacity Building of NGO Consortia
(Component 1)

The first is capacity building of the NGO Consortia, with a view to provide an enduring capacity building capability, a knowledge network, an advocacy and communications platform, and a focal point for co-ordination, resource mobilization, and effective public-private sector partnership at the Provincial and National levels. Apart from the physical establishment of  one national and 5 provincial consortia offices (each with funds for staff, equipment, and office space through December 2006), the TAMEER project has also trained dozens of trainers in governance, HIV/AIDS technical knowledge, project management, and M&E.

There are four core components of the project.

• Grass Roots Action - Small Grants Programme (SGP)
