Small Grant Projects
(SGPs)

The grass roots action component is undertaken through Small Grants Program (SGP) administered by competitive tender and focusing on priority issues in different parts of the country. It involves pilot innovative interventions aimed at the grass root level. The grants contracted for example, serve the following high priority vulnerable population: Men having Sex with Men (MSM), Out of School Youth, Street Children, Working Youth, Intravenous Drug Users (IDUs), Female Sex Workers (FSWs), Fishermen, Jail inmates, Coal Miners etc. The Small Grants Programme (SGP) has been established to build the capacity of HIV/AIDS NGOs in Pakistan.

The TAMEER Small Grants Program involves two calls. The first call had been initiated in December 2004 while the second call started in June 2005. A total of 35 projects are funded under TAMEER SGP.
